Many, many people have been asking about this on the ASZ forums, and one
day, I'm talking to Aussie over AIM and he says to me "Why don't
you do a tutorial on how to do that?" Bingo! So here it is, for all
ye that seek it!
All pictures are taken with my modified UHC Beretta 92 HW (which has a shortened barrel and the slide lock modification [see the Workshop section for instructions]), but the instructions should be the same for the UHC LW/HW Beretta 92 and the TM Beretta M9, and the process should be very similar for nearly every other spring or even GBB Beretta 92, 96G Elite, M8045, and M84. Here's my gun: Step one: Make sure that the gun is not cocked. On the right side of the gun, push down on the roud button in the middle of the frame, under the slide. At the same time, push down on the takedown lever until it rotates 90º. The bottom is connected to the lever, so pushing the button raises the lever from the frame a bit, allowing you to turn it. It should look like this when you've turned the lever: Then, Take the lever and the rectaingular peice on the right side of the frame (under the round button) out from the frame. There should be a hole where the lever is. Now, pull back the hammer and push the slide about a centimeter forward. Like so: When it is like that, pull the slide up and off the frame, like so: Now the the slide is off, the pistol is field-stripped. You can do this to clean or repair the internals in the slide. I have labeled what each peice is and where it goes here: To reassembly, just slip the slide down and back, push the barrel backwards and put the rectangular peice in first, followed by the takedown lever. -Supergeek |
